Growing up in the heart of beautiful Poland and traveling to over 30 countries, Cavanagh absorbed from her exposure to European and Asian history, architecture, and art. She attended graduate school at Silesian and Warsaw Universities. Her mentors in large part gained their skills from the School of Design in Pforzheim, Germany. After living one year in Italy and six years in Canada, Cavanaugh moved to the USA, where she graduated with honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After contributing to creative teams in the corporate world, she switched gears toward jewelry design and metal smithing.
